Larry L. Perry, Sr., 64, of Summers School Rd., Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Larry was born in Waynesburg, PA on July 5, 1945, a son of the late Herbert O. and Freda Work Perry.He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Larry was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he enjoyed collecting eagles and Indians, model cars and was a Civil War buff. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandson, Nathan, and providing care for his loving son, Larry âBubâ, Jr.. He is survived by his wife, Melody S. Nicholson his children, Larry Lee Perry, Jr. at home, and Mary Marie Bolyard of Morgantown his brothers, Ronald H. Perry of Beulah Road and Russell P. Perry of Pt. Marion, PA one grandson, Nathan Allen Perry, and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Freda Mae Perry, and a sister-in-law, Loretta Perry.Family and friends will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church on Friday, March 26 beginning at 4:00 PM and continuing through until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 27 with Rev. Elmer Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow in Nicholson Chapel Cemetery where Full Military Honors will be accorded by VFW Post 548 and WVANG Military Honors, Camp Dawson.Send condolences online at hastingsfuneralhome.com.Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, is in charge of the arrangements.
