James Robert âBarneyâ Blaney, 77, of Fire Dept. Road, Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010, at Sundale Nursing Home.James was born in Morgantown on May 5, 1932, the son of the late Charles and Nancy Murray Blaney.He was a member of Union Local #379.He is survived by his children, Diane Friend and husband John of Bruceton Mills and Jamie Blaney and wife Tracy of Morgantown, his grandchildren, Bubby Blosser and fiancée Heather Clark, Dodie Snider and husband, Brian, Jamie (Jiggs) Blaney Jr. and fiancée Stephanie Mathes and Heather Lawhun and husband Jack, 8 great-grandchildren, Nikki, Jordan, Jayden, Kira, Kyle, Carsin, Lakin and Kaden, his sisters, Lois White and Shirley Robinson and a brother David Blaney Campbell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Charles Blaney. Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home from 5-7pm on Saturday, February 27. Inurnment will be held at Mt. Pleasant cemetery at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the James Blaney Memorial Fund, C/o Clear Mountain Bank 1889 Earl Core Road, Morgantown, WV 26508.
