Nancy Ann McCabe, 73, of Morgantown, formerly of Friendship Manor, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009, at Madison Nursing & Rehab of Morgantown.Nancy was born in Morgantown on April 19, 1936, the daughter of the late Junior Walton and Viola Virginia Menear McCabe.She was a former member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Wesley Methodist Church in Morgantown. She attended West Virginia Wesleyan College and West Virginia University. She was a paraprofessional in Monongalia County School System where she had worked at Morgan Heights, Jerome Park and Second Ward Schools for over 20 years. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers Association, A.A.R.P., a member of the Zackquill Morgan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and she was also a past president of Morgantown Business and Professional Womenâs Club (B&P W.C.)She is survived by Frances Golden, best friend for sixty years and caregiver for the past five years.Cremation service will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at the Masontown Cemetery at a later date.Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Monongalia Unit, 122 S. High St., Morgantown, WV 26505.
