Kristy Dawn Maxon Wolfe, 41, of Myrtle Beach, SC and formerly of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 14, 2014 at her residence. Please note that the visitation times have changed from the original publication. Family and friends will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd., Morgantown on Thursday, September 18 from 2-9 PM and again on Friday, September 19th from 10 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with Bishop Brad Jensen officiating. Interment will follow in Nicholson Chapel Cemetery, Morgantown. Members of the family will be present at the visitation from 2-9 PM Thursday and from 12 Noon until 1 PM Friday at the church. She was born in Morgantown on July 2, 1973, a daughter of Linda (Hilling) Maxon, and the late Jack Maxon. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Nathan Alan Wolfe; her two children, Skyler and Jaden Wolfe; her brothers, Jack, Shawn and Timmy Maxon; her sisters, Cindy Johnson and husband David and Mindy Riley and husband Jeff; nephews, Scott Johnson, Nathan Maxon, Joshua Maxon, Damien Maxon, Maxon Johnson and Jackson Williams; nieces, Angela Hall, Erica Riley, Theresa Maxon, Makayla Maxon, Kaylee Maxon and Layne Maxon; great-niece Taylor Johnson; great-nephew Tyler Johnson; brother-in-law T.J. Wolfe, his wife Nila and their children Sammee, Frank and Giulianna; brother-in-law Corey Cassell, his wife Jennifer and their children Alex and Charlie; sister-in-law Amanda Brown, her husband Travis and their daughter Amelia; her mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law Donna Polce Cassell and Chuck Cassell; father-in-law Tom Wolfe and wife Ronda; and her grandmother-in-law, Jane Bolyard and husband Glen. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mellisa Maxon. Kristy attended Morgantown High School. She loved everything about Marilyn Monroe, watching crime dramas and hunting for shark teeth on beaches. For a period of time, she worked in retirement homes bring much joy and comfort to the patients. She adored her children, and accepted and cared for her nieces, nephews and neighborhood kids as her own The family wishes to express a special thank you to Daniel Maxon for his help during this difficult time. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is assisting the family with the arrangements.
