Ronald Arthur Gatian, 72, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014, at his home. He was born July 28, 1942 in Morgantown, WV; son of the late Arthur and Sara Darnell Gatian. Ronald was a member of the Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, outdoors, animals especially cats. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, Scott Gatian and wife Julie of Morgantown; granddaughter, Caitlyn Gatian; brothers Terry, Larry and Scott Gatian. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen S. Gatian and one brother, Blaine. Hastings Funeral Home will provide cremation services. Family and friends may call at Covenant Evangelical Methodist Church, 802 Greenbag Road, Morgantown on Tuesday, October 28th from 3-6 p.m. The memorial service will be held at the church at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Nathan Williamson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care, 3363 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26505.
