Charles Ray “Tink” Cress, 40, Morgantown, passed away peacefully at his homeTuesday, November 25, 2014. He was born in Morgantown on December 6, 1973, the son of Brenda Joyce (Metheny) Cress & the late Charles Ray Cress, Sr. Charlie was a graduate of Morgantown High School & was a plasterer with Operative Plasters & Cement Masons Local #39. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding ATV’s. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Charles Ray “Chaz” Cress III; his sister, Mary McGee Jolliffe; his friend and special brother in law, John Jolliffe; and nephews, Justin and Jacob. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents. The family would like to thank the staff at Milan Puskar Health Right for their care and support. Memorial donations may be made in Charlie’s memory to the Milan Puskar Health Right, 341 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV 26505. Family and friends are invited to share memories of Charlie at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Saturday, December 6 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
