Albert Paul Massullo, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016 at Ruby Memorial Hospital of Morgantown, WV. Born October 1, 1932 in Uniontown, Pa., he is the son of his late parents, Nunzio and Maria “Christine” Massullo. Graduating from the old St. Francis High School in Morgantown, and then from West Virginia University with a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, he spent most of his working career in the Baltimore/Washington area. His Dedication to Civil Service in engineering and management positions included Glenn L. Martin Aircraft at Middle River, Md. Westinghouse Electric at the-then Friendship Airport, the Navy Yard in Washington, the Defense Logistic Agency, Defense Management Commands, and the Air Force Systems Command. Some of his major projects included the F-4 Radar, Radar-Sonar Sstems, Missle Systems, and Helicopter Radar Systems. Nearly every project he worked on was classified top secret. He retired in 2004 to reside in Morgantown, West Virginia. He is survived by his three brothers, Robert Massullo, Felix Massullo, and John Massulo; and his four sisters, Mary Ann Stitner, Joann Radosh, Teresa Plum, and “Pennie” Carolyn Casino. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Was as a Communications expert in USAFE at Wiesbaden, Germany, he received military honors and burial at Pruntytown, West Virginia, National Military Cemetery. His family extends the gratitude and appreciation to their brother John and Paul’s niece Marie and her husband Joe Volzer for the constant and loving care that they gave to Paul throughout his battle with cancer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Donor Services, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Hastings Funeral Home and a private graveside service will take place at West Virginia Nation Cemetery at a later date.
