Ingle DeForrest Murray, 78, of Morgantown, WV passed away peacefully on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was born January 3, 1939 in Morgantown, WV, a son of the late Wayne D. Murray and Virginia Tichner Murray. He was raised by Bert and Laura Hilling. He entered the United States Air Force in 1957 and served his country till he was honorably discharged in 1962. Following his discharge, he owned and operated George & Ingle’s Typewriter Repair in Morgantown, WV for many years, servicing the Morgantown and surrounding areas. He enjoyed cattle farming for over 50 years of his life. He was a member of the former Beulah Free Methodist Church in Morgantown, WV. He is survived by his wife, Florence Murray of Morgantown WV; one son, Chris Murray and spouse Amanda Murray of Morgantown WV, and two grandsons Zachary Murray and Isaac Murray; one granddaughter Jessica Sheldon and spouse Keith Sheldon of Erie PA. , and great grandchildren Nikolaus Sheldon of Bellingham, WA, Jordane Sheldon, Carrigan Sheldon, and Brenna Sheldon of Erie, PA. He is preceded in death by his daughter Deborah Menefee of Morgantown, WV. Friends and family will be received at Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Road, Morgantown, WV, on Friday March 3rd from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM with Pastor Francis “Jake” Nicholson officiating.
