Obituary of Mary Ann Glenn

Mary Ann Glenn, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Morgantown on December 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Dr. John H. and Nellie (Phillips) Trotter.

Mary Ann was a long time member of the Wesley United Methodist Church.  She graduated from Mount de Chantal Visitation Academy in Wheeling, WV, and West Virginia University.  She was an avid Mountaineer fan and was a member of several bowling leagues, as well as traveled the world on many adventures.    

Along with her husband, A. Hudson, she owned and operated one of Morgantown’s first private dorms. 

She is survived by her son, A. Hudson  and Holly Heiskell Glenn, IV; grandchildren, Kelly Brett, Shelly Brett, Adam and Sarah Glenn and Trevor and Kara Glenn; great-grandchildren, Norah, Henry, Emily and Avery Glenn. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. Hudson Glenn, III, daughter, Mary “Missy” Brett, brother, George Phillips Trotter; and a great-grandson, Oliver Glenn. 

In honoring her wishes, cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home.

A private interment will follow at a later date at Lawnwood Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the West Virginia Eye Institute, 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506.
