Margaret “Virginia” Bennett, 75, of Pt. Marion, passed away Sunday, October 29th at her residence.  She was born November 29, 1941 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Harold Leo and Margaret Agnes (Shaffer) Deavers.  

She is survived by five sons, Charles and Mike Bennett from Morgantown, Donald Bennett & wife Rhonda of Braidwood, IL, Keith Bennett & wife Jamie of Smithfield and Carl Bennett of Pt Marion with whom she lived; a step daughter, Sarah Church of Dayton, OH; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; and sisters, Laura, Rose, Pat, and Joyce.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Earl Bennett and a sister Mary and brother Harold.

She was a member of the Pt. Marion American Legion Ladies Auxillary.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thursday, November 2nd from 1 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4 PM with Pastor Dave McElroy officiating.  Following the service, cremation services will be provided.
