Obituary of Howard Whisler

Howard Whisler, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, 11-1-17 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.  He was born November 17, 1930 in Wadestown, WV, a  son of the late Charles and Lucy Shriver Whisler. 

Mr. Whisler was a member of the Highland Park United Methodist Church and retired after over forty years of working at Sterling Faucet.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed going to Deep Creek Lake to watch the boats and also Coopers Rock.

He is survived by a brother, Harold Whisler; niece and nephew, Cindy Jento and her husband John and Ricky Whisler and his wife Karen; great niece and nephews, John Whisler, Katelyn Whisler and her fiancé Nick Hanberry, Jerid Jento and his wife Cheyanne, Jesse Jento, Jeff Jento, and Jordan Jento.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a sister in law, Jean Whisler.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Friday, 11-3-17 from 3 PM until the time of the funeral service at 5 PM with Pastor Stephen Prince officiating.  A private family committal service will take place at Lawnwood Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, c/o Linda Donhiser, 19 Warrick St., Morgantown WV 26505-4740.
