Alice Faye Eye Fisher, 78, of Fairchance Rd., Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, April 13, 2015 at Monongalia General Hospital. She was born in Morgantown on May 2, 1936, a daughter of the late James Eye and the late Elizabeth (Fowler) Eye. Survivors include her four children, Pamela Lyons and her husband Bear of Morgantown, Terry Fisher and his wife Cindi of Point Marion, PA, Christine Filippone and her husband William of Jacksonville, FL and Brad Fisher and Michelle of Morgantown; eight grandchildren; ten grandchildren; and two siblings, Ronald Eye and his wife Barbara of Westover, and Deby Arnett and her husband Bob of Arnettsville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Fisher, and three grandchildren. Mrs. Fisher was formerly employed as a cook at Monongalia General Hospital. She enjoyed garden, tending to her flowers and crocheting. She was a big fan of attending country music jamborees, namely the Mountain Heights Jamboree and Touch of Country. She was the matriarch of her family and a pillar of strength. From putting on huge traditional Sunday dinners, to spending time with her grandchildren, she surrounded her family with love and support – just as they did in return for her. She will be sorely missed by everyone whose lives she touched. At Mrs. Fisher’s request, there will be no public viewing, and her family is honoring her wishes for cremation to take place. The family will hold a service at a later date and she will be laid to rest with her husband in Cheat Lake. Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is assisting the family with the arrangements.
