Alice Ludwig

Alice Marie Ludwig, 83, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at her residence. Alice was born in Forward Township, PA on August 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Charles William Billig and Mary (Sullivan) Billig. She was a wonderfully loving mother and dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and caring for others, especially her beloved family. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Ludwig, and Charles Ludwig both of Morgantown, Yvonne Ludwig of Pittsburgh; daughter-in-law, Stacia Davis, one grandchild, Laura Ludwig of Morgantown; her longtime companion Ed Nicholson of Morgantown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Regina May Stinson, Betty Jane Zimmer and her brother, William Billig Jr.; and her former husband, August Joseph Ludwig, Jr. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, WV on Sunday, March 3 from 3-5pm and again on Monday, March 4 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00am with Fr. Mike Hadaway officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Morgantown. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Morgantown Hospice 1063 Maple Dr Morgantown, WV 26505.
