Alice C. "Chris" Schmidle Martin, 66, of, Morgantown, passed away Friday, August 12, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Chris was born in Albright on November 17, 1944, the daughter of Marie Alice Kenyon Schmidle of Morgantown and the late Willard Burdette Schmidle.She retired from the Farm Service Agency as a Program Specialist.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Dave Currence and wife Tammy of Kearneysville, WV, her daughter, Darla Jackson and husband David of Whiteville, NC sisters, Jill Thomas and husband John of Morgantown Barbara Linberger and husband Paul of Herndon,VA grandchildren, Bryant and Caden Currence, Matthew Jackson, Kristy Castrejon and husband Oliver, Ashley Hartman and Amber Draper great-grandchildren, Madison and Ashlynn Jackson and Jovi and Chesney Castrejon and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one son, Willard Daniel Currence.Cremation services provided by Hastings Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
