Alvin F. Glover, 92, formerly of Sandbank Rd., Morgantown, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009 at the home of his nephew in Reedsville.Alvin was born in Morgantown on September 18, 1917, and was raised by his grandmother, Lavaria Myers.He was a mail carrier in Morgantown with the United States Postal Service for several years. He was a lover of music, playing the violin, mandolin and guitar. He was very well known for his music, having played at WMMN in Fairmont, the Wheeling Jamboree and in many area churches. He will always be remembered as a very good man.He is survived by his caregiver, his nephew Pastor Kenny Dalton and his wife, Betty as well as several other distant relatives.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel McMillen Glover, his second wife, Hilda Glover, and a son, William M. Glover.
