Amelia Meligan

Alice Meligan, 91, of Morgantown, passed way Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Golden Living Center. She was born March 23, 1922 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late August and Julia Swable Meligan. She was a former clerk of the Miller's Grocery Store on University Ave. in Morgantown. She is survived by her nephew and niece, Maurice Miller and his wife Elsie and Eleanor Jo Gainer and her husband Nick. She was the last living member of her immediate family and in addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Eleanor Miller, Ann Richardson, Jim Meligan, and Steve Meligan. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 12 Noon- 2:00 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Chaplain Adam Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at the East Oak Grove Cemetery in Morgantown.
