Anthony F. Brandimarte, 84, of Globe Avenue, Morgantown, passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010, at his residence. He was born on August 16, 1925, in Fairmont, the son of the late Lazarus and Jennie Pacilio Brandimarte.He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as an usher for many years. Anthony served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.He was a salesman for Cowan Bakery, was an insurance agent for Metropolitan Insurance for over 20years and retired as a salesperson in the Sea Food Dept. at Krogers in Sabraton. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Boyles Brandimarte, a daughter, Beverly A. Dalton and a son, Thomas Brandimarte both of Morgantown, a sister, Lena Nash of Jacksonville, FL, and his twin brother, Angelo Brandimarte of Cuyhoga Falls, OH, three grandsons, Anthony Dalton, Stephen and Michael Brandimarte, as wells as two great-grandchildren, Connor Dalton and Claire Brandimarte. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Gina Monell.Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, Tuesday March 16 from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 17 from Noon-1p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Al Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Military honors will be provided at the cemetery by the VFW Post 548.The family wishes to send a special thank you for the wonderful care given to their family by their neighbors, friends, First Baptist Church and the staff of Interim and TLC Hospice.
