Arthur "Wayne" Glover, 92, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Mon Health Medical Center. He was born September 19, 1932, in Mannington, WV, a son of the late Arthur Lee and Olive Mae (Cross) Glover.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Iona Mavis "Mazie" Glover, and siblings Thelma Utt, Imogene Helmick, and Caroll Glover.
Wayne worked at Hope Gas for 40 years and was remembered by many as the kind gentleman to see if you needed help with your service or your bill. In his retirement, he was a volunteer driver for Meals On Wheels, enjoyed various activities with the local senior centers, was part of the BOPARC Kitchenaire Band, and cheered on the Mountaineers and Pirates. He also enjoyed woodworking and built the home where he and his family resided for 61 years.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his children, Greg Glover (Joan), Anne Boone (David), and Jeanne Glover (Ken Ashton); and grandchildren, Lt. Col. Julie Glover (Ashley) and Meg Boone.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Sundale Nursing Home for their compassion and care.
A memorial service will be planned for a later time.
