Barbara Ann Dennis

Barbara Ann Dennis (nee Foote), 87, of Morgantown WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 31, 2021. She was born on August 21, 1934, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Josiah and Carolyn (Hammer) Foote. Barbara put her college plans and career on hold while she and her husband Les raised their family in Waldwick, NJ. When her children were in high school, Barbara went back to work full time while taking night classes to finish her college degree. She received a BA in Psychology from Ramapo College in Mahwah, NJ. Barbara was then employed by United Brands and later, a replacement window company. Barbara was an avid reader. She loved the beach, skiing, and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her family, preparing a delicious feast and doting on her beloved poodle. Her infectious laugh, sweet smile and the twinkle in her eye will be missed greatly by her adoring family. Upon retiring, Barbara and Les moved to East Atlantic Beach, NY where they enjoyed many happy years and made wonderful family memories. In 2008 Barbara and Les moved to Morgantown, WV to be near family, where they lived happily until their passing. She is survived by her children Richard Dennis and wife Bettina (Morgantown, WV), Neil Dennis and wife Teresa (Frisco, TX), Dan Dennis and wife Janet (Annandale, VA), Lynn Taylor and husband Don (Franklin Lakes, NJ), her grandchildren: Cory, Julie, Michelle, Alexandra, Tristan, Matthew, Dylan, Liam, Luke, Mackenzie and great grandson Jacob. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie G. Dennis, and brothers, Robert Foote, and Monroe Chadeayne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association in her loving memory.
