Barbara Kennedy

Barbara Ann Kennedy, 75, formerly of Mississippi Street, Morgantown, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Sundale Nursing Home.Barbara was born in Morgantown on April 4, 1935, the daughter of the late David William and Mary M. Kees Kennedy.She was a member of the First Baptist Church. Barbara graduated from Morgantown High School. She was an elevator operator at O. J. Morrisonâs Department Store, and she also was a former employee at the Hotel Morgan. After her retirement she did babysitting in her home.She is survived by her niece, Kathy and husband Bert Clendenin of Morgantown, nephew, William D. Kennedy and wife Patty of Green Bay, WI three great nieces, one great nephew and six great-great-nieces and nephews.Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Wednesday, April 28 from 6-8p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 8:00p.m.with Rev. Al Cooper officiating. A private interment will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.Donations may be made in Barbaraâs memory to the Sundale Residents Council c/o 800 J. D.
