Beatrice Agnes Schafer

Beatrice Agnes Schafer, 97, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016, at Madison Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Markesan, WI on December 7, 1918, the daughter of the late Ira Willard Parker and Margie Alice (Wood) Parker. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Beatrice graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music and the University of Wisconsin, She is survived by sons: John Schafer of Talent, OR; David (Anne) Schafer of Glen Ellyn, IL; daughter, in Iowa;granddaughters, Emily (Nathan) Tallent of Richland, WA; Kate (Lennie) Marsh of Cincinnati, OH and Caroline of Houston, TX and nephew, Willard Parker of California In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Dr. George Schafer, Feb. 17, 2001; brother and sister-in-law, Willard (Doris) Parker. Family and friends will be received at Trinity Episcopal Church, 247 High Street, Morgantown, Monday, January 18th from 12 (Noon) until the 1 p.m. service with Fr. Mike Hadoway officiating.
