Berlin Garlin Judy

Berlin Garlin Judy, Jr., 82, of Lazzelle Union Rd., Morgantown, passed away Sunday evening, March 29, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Morgantown on October 24, 1932, a son of the late Berlin Garlin Judy, Sr. and the late Nellie (Vandervort) Judy. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Carol Arbogast Judy; four sons, Robert M. Judy and his wife Pam of Carmichaels, PA, Steven M. Judy and his wife Bernadine of Morgantown, Timothy R. Judy and his wife Lori of Reedsville and Brian K. Judy and his wife Tammy of Morgantown; nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and four siblings, John Judy and his wife Janice of Mississippi, Dale Judy and his wife Fran of California, Lenora Medline and her husband Gene of Texas and Betty Westerman of Morgantown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Gatian. He was a member of Avery United Methodist Church in Cheat Lake. He was a proud veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts, retiring as a Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Mr. Judy retired after 16 years of service with Sears as an appliance technician. Additionally, he worked for the Pleasant Valley Water Company as a meter reader. He was handyman who worked on many of his own home improvement projects. He enjoyed sports, and dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Wednesday, April 1st from 1-3 & 6-8 PM and again on Thursday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM with Reverend Michael Q.
