Berniece Fagert

Berniece Virginia Fagert, 84, of Morgantown, passed away Monday, July 23, 2012, at Golden Living Center.She was born October 18, 1927, in Middlebourne, WV, the daughter of the late Harold Dexter and Ida Richmond Brown. Berniece was a member of the Morgantown Church of Christ where she taught Tuesday school for many years. She volunteered at the Senior Monongalians in the nutrition department for many years. She also volunteered at Christian Help and enjoyed traveling.She is survived by her children Soundra Fagert Poling of Morgantown, Michael Bruce Fagert of Katy, TX, her grandchildren, Heather Poling and companion Chris Milner of Greenfield, MA, Nathan David Poling and wife Grace of Pittsburgh, PA, Malika Richardson of Kingsport, TN, Lindsey Garrett and husband Nick of Kingsport, her great-grandchildren Wyatt Dexter Poling, Norah Frances Poling, Kylee Farmer, Christian Farmer, Gavin Garrett and Duane Fagert, her former daughter-in-law Susie Wells of VA, and her caregiver and close family friend, Selma Utt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Fagert in 1980, her grandson, Jared Eads Fagert, and great-granddaughter, Mattie Kora Godsey. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev.
