Bertha Mae Weber, 78, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Sundale Nursing Home. She was born in Meridien, MS, on December 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Winston Williams and the late Myrtis (McDonald) Williams. Bertha was defined by two things in her life, her motherhood and her faith. She loved nothing more than being a mother. She often stated it as her sole greatest accomplishment, as well as her greatest joy. She was a wonderful mother not only to her four beautiful children but also to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and the many other young people she had befriended in her ministries. Aside from raising her children and being the wonderful homemaker that she was, Bertha also lived to serve Jehovah. She was very devoted to her church community, having been a member for over 40 years. She conducted hundreds of home studies and touched many lives. She was very personally involved in her ministry and truly lived what it means to do that. She met many new people over the years that she opened her home to, and whom soon became like family to her. Even as friends came in and out of her life and moved away, she kept in touch with them, communicated with them, and even traveled to visit some. She truly lived her faith. This is what truly defined Bertha as a person, her love of her family and Jehovah. Bertha is survived by loving husband Kenneth Weber; four children: Charles Weber and his wife Carmella of North Olmsted, OH, Gerald Weber and his wife Ann of Elkins, WV, and Terry Sigley and her husband Tee of Morgantown; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Patty Choma, and nine brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held for Bertha on Saturday, February 14, at the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah’s Witnesses, 379 Smithtown Rd., Morgantown, at 11 AM.
