Betty Lillian Hartley

Betty (Miner) Wiles Hartley, 87 passed away at Mon General Hospital on Sunday, November 8, 2015. She was born August 6, 1928 to John Henry Miner and Bertha Davis Miner of Rowlesburg, WV. Betty lived in Preston County until moving to Morgantown in 1963 and later relocated to Monroe County WV. Betty attended Fairmont State and enjoyed a career as a legal secretary until her marriage Joseph Hartley in 1970. They worked together owning and managing real estate in Morgantown. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening and was an active member in the Monroe County CEOs. She was honored as the Monroe County Belle in 2000. She was a member of the Morgantown Church of Christ and the Union Church of Christ. She and husband Joseph retired to Monroe County WV in 1984. She is survived by three daughters and one son. Theresa Braddy and husband Ray of Morgantown, Rebecca Wiles of Morgantown. Megan Rinschler, husband Rick and daughters Paige Elizabeth and Abigail Christina of Clarksburg, WV. Demian Wiles, wife Betsy and son Aidan Joseph Russellof Ronceverte WV. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers, her first husband Lantz (Jack) Wiles, second husband Joseph Hartley and son Daniel Wiles.
