Betty Lou Mcie

Betty Lou McIe, 83 of Westover, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at Mon Health Medical Center.

Betty was born on March 8, 1941, the daughter of the late David Gilbert and Madaline Hacker Henry.

Betty worked at Guido's Carpet Store for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, spending time with her many pets over the years, and most importantly spending time with her family that she loved and cherished. She was a traditional matriarch who always made sure her family was taken care of before her own needs.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert L. McIe, Sr.; sons, Robert McIe, Jr. and his wife, Betty, and Eric McIe; grandsons, Anthony McIe and Cole McIe; granddaughters, Brittany Pratt and her husband Nathan; and Rylee McIe; great-granddaughter, Joselyn Renee Pratt and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Betty is preceded in death by her daughter, Cristy Rene McIe; four sisters, Virginia "Polly" Casteel; Kathleen Phillips; Dorothy Moore; and Anna Russell; and four brothers, Gilbert Henry; Hillis Henry; Paul Henry; and Charles Henry.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Wednesday, November 20, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday, November 21, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Daniel Strosnider officiating. Interment will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
