BETTY JO BLOSSER KENNEDY JOHNSON OâHARABetty Jo OâHara, age 87, passed away March 15, 2012, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Altoona, PA.She was born July 11, 1924 in Morgantown, WV, a daughter of the late William Elmer and Nellie Zearley Blosser.As an adult she completed training as a Practical Nurse and worked both in Morgantown and Tucson, AZ. In Arizona she belonged to the Gold Star Wives of America and Elks Auxiliary in Tucson and the VFW in Show Low, AZ. She was a member of the Tucson Light and Life Free Methodist Church. While living in Morgantown she was a member of the Sabraton Baptist Church and the Spruce Street United Methodist Church.She was especially talented in crochet, knitting, hardanger embroidery, ceramics and rug hooking and shared her projects with family and friends.She is survived by two sisters, Martha Belle Becilla of Morgantown, WV, and Barbara Jean Bailey of South Charleston, WV son, Robert F. Kennedy (Sarah) of Des Moines, IA, daughter-in-law, Sandy Johnson of Lake Lynn, PA three grandchildren, Robert F. Kennedy II (Traci) of Des Moines, IA, Beth Ann Kennedy Davila (Dan) of Cleveland, OH, and Paul Johnson of Lake Lynn, PA and five great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents a sister, Mary E. Bertie, a brother, David E. Blosser three husbands, William F. Kennedy, Howard Johnson, Mathew OâHara and two children, Elmer Scott Johnson, and Patricia Lynn Johnson Bewak.Visitation with her family and friends will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Saturday, March 24 from 1:30 â" 2:30p.m. A Memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30p.m with Rev. Dr. Leonard E. Graham officiating. Inurnment of cremains will be held at a later date at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens in Westover, WV.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bettyâs memory to Sugar Grove Presbyterian Church,434 Legion Street, Morgantown, WV 26505
