Billy Donald âBarnseyâ Nicholson, 71, of Beulah Road, Morgantown, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011 at his residence surrounded by family and friends..Barnsey was born in Morgantown on March 8, 1940, a son of the late George Dewey Nicholson and the late Margie Margretta (Murray) Nicholson.Survivors include his wife, Shirley McDonald Nicholson two sons, John Luther Nicholson and his wife Sissy of Beulah Rd. and Andrew Howard Nicholson and his wife Ali of the Grafton Rd. five granddaughters, Joanne, Dannielle, Aubrey, Lillian and Chloe Nicholson four siblings including Arlene Gaspar of Summers School Rd., Merle McDonald of McDonald Lane, Rev. Elmer âScoopâ Nicholson and his wife Beck of Nicholson Loop and Francis âJakeâ Nicholson of Murray Rd., as well as several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Lucille McDonald, Willard Nicholson, Millard âFizzâ Nicholson, Vernis Nicholson, Clarice âSisâ Dalton, Georgie Nicholson and Virgil Nicholson.Barnsey was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal Company who enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.Friends will be received at Nicholson Chapel Chuch, Summers School Rd., Morgantown beginning at 3 PM on Wednesday, May 4, and continuing until the time of the funeral service at 11 AM Thursday morning May 5 with Pastors Kenny Reed & George McLaughlin officiating.
