Brian Friend

Brian Scott Friend, 42, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014. He was born on February 12, 1971 in Morgantown, a son of Sandra Kay Gamble Friend and the late Clayton Duane Friend. Brian was a graduate of University High School and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed attending and watching the West Virginia Mountaineers football and basketball, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Pittsburgh Pirates. He especially enjoyed going to High Point Raceway and camping with his dad at Big Bear Lake. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Ronald Friend and wife, Mary of Bobtown, PA and Jason Friend and wife Michele of Cassville; and nephew, Nate Friend of Cassville. Friends and family will be received at the Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, on Sunday, February 9th from 12 Noon until the time of the service at 2 PM with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
