Carl Strakal

Carl Junior âDocâ Strakal, 66, of Tyrone Avery Road, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, peacefully at his home. Born in Cassville, WV on November 24, 1943, he was a son of the late Carl E. Strakal and Mary Pack Strakal.Carl and Marsha enjoyed spending time at Blackwater Falls together. Carl enjoyed gardening, was a member of IBEW local 596, and served in the U.S. Army.Survivors include his loving wife of 44 years, Marsha Lynn Krivak Strakal four children, Lisa Moser & husband Mark, Carla Frady & husband Dean, C.J. Strakal & wife Mavis, and Christopher Strakal all of Morgantown four grandchildren, Cody & Anna Moser, and Taylor & Jason Frady his siblings, Robert ""Bob"" Strakal & wife Renate of Morgantown, WV, Pauline Dalton & husband Stanley of Scottsdale, AZ, Patricia Kerns & husband Earl of Canal Winchester, OH, Steve Strakal & wife Joyce, Tom Strakal & wife Charla and Danny Strakal all of Morgantown, a brother-in-law, Michael Krivak of Morgantown, and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 4-8 PM Tuesday, May 18th. Visitation will continue at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 19 Jo Glenn Dr., Morgantown (Cheat Lake) on Wednesday, May 19th from 10-11 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Wednesday morning in the church with Father Ronald Prechtl as celebrant.
