Carol Lightcap

Carol Ann Lightcap, 69, of Fairmont Rd., Morgantown, passed away Wednesday night, July 14, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Mrs. Lightcap was born in Erbacon, WV on September 26, 1940, a daughter of the late Thomas Riffle and Katherine Cook Riffle Crites.Survivors include her children, Laura Chance and husband Everett with whom she made her home, and Henry Lightcap and Shirley Hilliard of Rivesville, WV a foster son, Charles Chase, Jr. of Kentucky five grandchildren, Monica Cobb and husband, Jeremy, Shaunna Chance and companion, Jordan Wishart, Brittany Lightcap, Christy Lightcap and Roger Lightcap one step-grandchild, James Hilliard three step great grandchildren one sister, Juanita Kemp three brothers, Walter Morris, Okey Riffle, and Leon Riffle and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dorsey Lightcap in 1984 four sisters, Lena Brady, Christine Riffle, Audrey McCormick and Macel Crites one brother, Watson Brady, and her step-father, Henry Crites. Mrs. Lightcap's life was devoted to her family, whom she loved very dearly. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 17 from 3-5 & 7-9pm and again on Sunday, July 18 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM and again at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV on Monday, July 19 from 10-11am. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday morning in the funeral home with Rev. George Koon, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
