Carole Jean Clinger

Carole Jean Breakiron Clinger, 76, of Morgantown passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Mon Health Medical Center.

Carole was born on December 15, 1945, the daughter of the last Wayne and Edith Breakiron.

Carole loved to travel. She visited most countries in far east Asia when she lived in South Korea. She also visited England and Greece. In addition to her passion for travel, Carole was also an avid animal lover.

Carole is survived by her son, Carl and his fiancée Jodi; sister, Linda Jordan; and grandsons, Eric, Eivin, and Liam Clinger.

In addition to her parents, Carole is preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 20 years, LTC Charles G. Clinger; sister, Betty Antonik; and brothers-in-law Mike Antonik and Joe Jordan.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Thursday, September 1, from 5:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Dennis Molnar officiating. Cremation services will be provided by Hastings Funeral Home and inurnment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
