Carolyn "Kitty" Sandra Newborn, 71, of Five Forks Drive, Morgantown, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015, at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 28, 1944 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Sherman Clay and Wanda Jean Truitt. Kitty moved to Fontana, California at age 15 and graduated from Fontana HS, where she met and fell in love with Dennis Eugene Newborn. They married and relocated to Fairfax, Virginia in 1976 to raise a family, then settled in Morgantown in 1992. She worked as a service writer for numerous car dealerships over the years. Kitty was the beating heart of the family, devoted to her kids and grandkids - her pride and joy. She was extremely proud of her Creek Indian heritage, collecting jewelry, figurines, and other keepsakes. She contributed to many charities, including a Native American school. Kitty enjoyed playing Keno, using her winnings to buy gifts for her grandkids. She was survived by her brother, Sherman and his wife Dottie Truitt, husband Dennis of 53 years, her three children, six grandchildren and their families. Carey Newborn, his wife Kibby, son Conor and daughter Laney of Centreville, Virginia. Sean Newborn, his wife Jennifer and son Cameron of Tampa, Florida. Jennifer Blohm, her husband Kevin, sons Tyler and Ryan, and daughter Sydney of Morgantown. Kitty was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial for her family and friends will be planned and received at the home of Jennifer Blohm in the Spring of 2016 in Morgantown.
