Carrie Root

Carrie Ann Root, age 54, passed away on November 1, 2013. She was the dear daughter of Kenneth and Doris Austin, beloved wife of David Root, loving Sister of Andy and Nick Austin, caring step-mother of David Root and Jennie Kowaleski, devoted grandmother of 5, cherished aunt of 6 nieces and nephews and kind daughter-in-law of Charles and Catherine Root. Carrie was born in Morgantown, West Virginia. Carrie served in the US Marine Corp for 2 years. Most recently she worked as an office manager for LDE, Inc. She enjoyed WVA football, music and vacationing. She loved to go to the beaches like Key West, the Outer Banks and Mexico to name a few and she adored going to the amusement parks and riding the roller coasters. It was a great thrill for her. Carrie also loved all animals and had a special affection for her cats. Arrangements were made with Fink Funeral Home, 426 Crain Hwy S. in Glen Burnie, MD and Hastings Funeral Home in Morgantown, WV. The memorial service will be held at Goshen Baptist Church, 1070 Goshen Road Morgantown, WV on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Donations can be made to your favorite animal rescue shelter in her memory.
