Charles Eugene âJiduâ Alexander, 64, of Van Voorhis Rd., Morgantown, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.Charles was born in Morgantown on June 13, 1947, the son of the late Philip Alexander and the late Regina (Schiffbauer) Alexander.Survivors include his children, step-daughter Tracy Frankwick and her husband Joel of South Riding, VA, Amber Lucchiani and her husband Antonio of Winchester, VA, son, Philip Charles Alexander of Winchester, VA and Isaac Eugene Alexander of Charles Town, WV three grandchildren, Anthony Alexander and Isabella Marie Lucchiani, and Aubrey Grace Alexander his siblings, Sherran Shaver of Morgantown, Kimberly Boswell and husband Bob of Snoquamie, WA,and Sam Larsock of Westover and his nieces and nephews including Dena Pride of Morgantown, Jodi Macko, her husband Josh and their son Luke of Butler, PA, and Christopher and Sam Larsock.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents whom he loved dearly, Charles and Marie Alexander.Mr. Alexander was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served with the United States Army. He was stationed in Texas, Korea and Vietnam.He loved hunting, fishing and watching Hoganâs Heroes.He adored his grandchildren, and could usually be found sneaking sweet treats to them behind their parentsâ back. But just as grandfathers do, he always got away with it.Mr. Alexanderâs family is honoring his wishes for cremation to take place. No services are planned and his ashes will be scattered at a later date.Hastings Funeral Home of Morgantown is in charge of the arrangements.
