Charles Austin

Charles C. Austin, 62, of Dorsey Lane, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Monongalia General Hospital.Charles was born in Rock Forge on May 28, 1947, the son of the late Theodore and Garnet Rhodes Austin.He was a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Austin, 4 brothers, Wilbert Austin and wife Mitzie, Wayne Theodore Austin Jr. and wife Joyce, Terry Austin, and Tom Rhodes and wife, Mary, 5 sisters, Nancy Heinze and companion Bob Seaman, Linda Grimes and husband, Larry, Lilly Matthews and husband, Mark, Marion Keener and husband, James and Lois Tinney.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William and a sister Judith Ann. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown from 4-7pm on Tuesday, March 30, and from 9-10am on Wednesday, March 31. A funeral will be held in the funeral home with Rev. James Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the West Virginia National Cemetery in Pruntytown.
