Chauncey Fawley

Chauncey Braxton Fawley, 30, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011.Chauncey was born in Morgantown on April 27, 1981, the son of O.B. Fawley, Jr. and Pamela (Shelton) Fawley, MD and lived most of his life on Dorseyâs Knob. He graduated from Morgantown High School in 2000 where he played football. He was a Registered Nurse, having graduated from Fairmont State College, where he was President of his class and in the top 10%. He always loved people and animals and showed in his work as a veterinary nurse at Animal Medical Center. Chauncey and his brothers grew up on Dorseyâs Knob where they learned the lessons of being on a farm, in the woods and about ponds. He was a loving and caring son and brother and a devoted father to his sons Braxton and Joshua as everyone could see. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sons Braxton Nicholas Fawley and Joshua Brown Fawley, his brother, Zackary Watson Fawley, his fiancée Jenny Ponceroff and his maternal aunt, Debbie Shelton Rogers. He was preceded in death by his brother Joshua Fawley in 2004. Cremation services provided by Hastings Funeral Home. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, from 6-8pm on Friday, June 10, 2011. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home at 8pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating.
