Christine Boggs

Christine Boggs, 58, of Morgantown, passed from this life into the presence of the Lord on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. After a continued struggle with asthma and environmental allergies. Chris was retired from the WV Department of Rehabilitation and was a Licensed Professional Counselor, having received her Master’s in Social Work from West Virginia University. A diehard Mountaineer fan, Chris was a member of the Christian and Misisonary Alliance Church in Morgantown, and was involved with the Campus Crusade for Christ as a student. Chris was an avid learner and teacher of the Bible, and loved to share her zeal for her relationship with Christ with everyone that she could. In spite of the limitation imposed upon her by her allergies, she found ways to live life to the fullest. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Vanchie Boggs of Man, WV, and is survived by three sisters, June Smith of Columbus, OH, Kathryn Buryn of St. Louis, MO, and Debra Ellis of Chapmanville, WV; one brother, Lowell of Charlotte, NC; along with her faithful companion and assistance dog, Nudi (an American Hairless Terrior), and hundreds of brothers and sisters in Christ who were privileged to call her a dear friend and sister in the Lord. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Narrine and Marie, and one brother, Oley. Visitation will be held at the Sand Lick Freewill Baptist Church in Man, WV on Monday, July 7th from 6-9 PM and on Tuesday, July 8th until the time of the funeral service at 1 PM.
