Christopher Jerome Martin Ii

Christopher Jerome Martin II, 41 of Morgantown passed at home unexpectedly on Sunday April 9th, 2023. Christopher was born on September 19th, 1981, the son of Catherine Norman and the late Christopher Martin Sr.

Christopher labored as a construction worker, and was proud of his two children Ty and Liana. When Chris was not working, he was fishing, camping and spending time with his family, most importantly his nieces and nephews. Chris loved to spend time at home watching movies and sporting events.

In addition to his mother and her husband Roger Newsom, Christopher is survived by his son Tylieke (Makenzy) Martin and daughter Liana Martin, both of Morgantown. He is also survived by sisters: Marcia (James) Robinette, Desiree Shugars, Jessica (Imani Beckwtih), and Chanel Newsom and Brothers: Christopher “CJ” Martin, Brandon (Abby) Newsom, and Donte (Brad) Newsom.

In addition to his father, Christopher Sr., he is preceded in death by his beloved sister Lori Nicole Martin, Grandparents Judith and Willie Martin and his Aunt Lori Martin.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV 26505 on Sunday, April 16, from 2:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. In accordance with the family’s wishes cremation services are being provided by Hastings Funeral Home, Omega Crematory.
