Legacy of Life Cynthia E. Jones “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, and I have kept the faith.” II Timothy 4:7 Cynthia (Cyndi) Ellen Jones 64, of Morgantown, WV passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1957 in Morgantown, WV daughter of the late Lowry Amos and Mildred (Midge) Courtney. Cyndi graduated from Morgantown High School, class of 1975. Following graduation, Cyndi attended West Virginia University until 1978 when she changed her focus to becoming a nurse. She received her LPN from Morgantown Technical School in 1978. Nursing became her lifetime career. During her time at WVU Cyndi would meet and marry her partner for life, John A. Jones (41 years). She was a member of Kingdom EMC Church, Westover WV. And she loved dancing with the Diverse Steppers. Cyndi is survived by husband John A Jones. her sons Erik Allen Jones and Tyler David Jones, brother Larry Courtney (sons Sean Courtney and Nathan Courtney) and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, parents, and brother, Jeffrey Courtney. Friends may call at Kingdom EMC Church on Thursday, August 12, from 10 am until the 11 am funeral service with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
