Dana Lee Dalton

Dana Lee Dalton, 88, of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at her home.

Dana was born on August 20, 1935 the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Dalton.

She enjoyed family gatherings, travel, and was especially fond of fishing. Dana found great love and companionship with her dog "Penny".

Dana is survived by her loving husband of 62-years, Douglas Dalton. She is also survived by a daughter Samantha Slemp (Chris) of Hurricane, W.Va. Two grandsons; Travis (Shannon) or Morgantown, W.Va., Hank (Erin) of Broadway, N.C. and one granddaughter Savannah Slemp of Hurricane, W.Va. She also has two great grand-children Danny Slemp of Fairmont, W.Va. and Nevaeh Slemp of Morgantown,W.Va and was expecting a third great-grandchild in June.

She is also survived by sisters Shelby Hart, Barbara Nicholson, and Beverly Dalton along with a long list of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

She is preceded in death by brothers Harold Dalton and Donald Dalton, and sister Wilma Nicholson.

She was an active member of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in Morgantown, W.Va.

She was retired from Morgan Shirt Company in Morgantown after more than 40 years of service.

Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday, December 4, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, December 5, from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am with Pastor Brady McDonald and Kathy Dalton officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
