Daniel Morris

Daniel J. Morris, 62, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Sundale Nursing Home. Daniel was born in Morgantown, on December 21, 1948, the son of Elsie Howdershelt Morris and the late John James Morris.He attended Living by Faith Church. In addition to his mother Elsie, he is survived by his wife, Zana Cheryl Morris, and his brother-in-law Ronald Bishop and wife, Marie.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Howdershelt and paternal grandparents, Katherine Morris Lyons and Jacob Morris. Friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Tuesday, August 2, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm and on Wednesday, August 3, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am with Rev. Bernice Tomer and Rev. David Tomer officiating. Interment will follow in East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown where full military honors will be accorded at the graveside by members of VFW 8816 and WVANG Military Honors Group, Camp Dawson, Kingwood.
