Darlene June Mayer Morini

Darlene June Mayer Morini, 79, of Morgantown, WV (formerly of New Castle, PA), passed away Tuesday, July 19th at Sundale Nursing Home. She was born December 3, 1942 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Harold Mayer and June (Cameron) Stafford.

Darlene taught special education for many years and always put others first. She enjoyed the simple things in life and always enjoyed her time with family. In her free time, she liked reading, being in nature, following politics, and being with her pets.

She is survived by her children, Torrence Scott Morini, Dean Lee Morini, Leanne Michelle Cardoso; grandchildren, Hans Arik, Liliana Rose, Juan Diego, and Emma Rachel; siblings, Linda Lee Small and her husband Gary “Chip” and Judy Ann Curry. She is also survived by her nieces and nephew that she dearly loved, Susan, Chris, Holly, and Shelly and their families.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her longtime companion, Dennis Winkowski.

Friends and family will be received at Graceland Cemetery in New Castle on Saturday, July 23rd at 11 AM for a committal service in the cemetery chapel.
