David Henderson

David Louis Henderson, 74, born March 18, 1937, died March 8, 2012. He was born & raised in Morgantown, WV. After graduating high school from St. Francis de Sales, he served 2 years in the Marine Corps. He then joined his father, Virgil, operating Henderson Coal Co. for many years. In 1969, David, his wife Norma, & his parents, Virgil & Lois, purchased the former Lake Shore Motel in Winter Park, FL. The family owned & operated the motel more than 10 years & continued operating rental properties in Winter Park. He is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Catherine Belec Henderson his parents, Virgil (Sam) & Lois E. Hummel Henderson a brother, Virgil Paul Henderson & his in-laws, Frank & Mary Ann Vlasich Belec. David is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Marlo Henderson-Woodham, & 2 grandsons: Bradly Drake Woodham & Samuel Elias Madrigal, all of Orlando, FL.Visitation will be held at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown on Thusday, March 15, 2012 from 7-9 PM. An additional visitation will be held at Jakeâs Run Assembly of God Church, Jakeâs Run Road, Friday, March 16 from 1p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00p.m. with Pastor Rob Bennett officiating. Interment will be at St. Lukeâs Cemetery, Mooresville, WV. Military Honors will be accorded at the gravesite with members of VFW Post 548 and WVANG Military Funeral Honors Group, Camp Dawson, Kingwood.
