Rev. David J. Hilling, 86, of Morgantown, formerly of Summer School Road, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Monongalia General Hospital.David was born in Morgantown on April 15, 1925, the son of the late John William Hilling, Sr. and the late Etta Celona (McDonald) Hilling, Sr.David was the Pastor at Nicholson Chapel Church for over 40 years, He was also employed by Rock Forge Coke Oven where he loaded cars, and was a long time Carpenter.David Loved taking walks and enjoyed FlowersDavid was a WWII Army VeteranDavid is survived by his wife Patricia J. Hilling, Three sons Terry Hilling Larry and his wife Barbara Hilling, and David K. Hilling also four daughters Rebecca and her husband Randy Whaley, Debbie Hilling, Lynn and her husband Bill Comstock, and Stephanie Hilling Also 14 grandchildren and 27 Great-Grandchildren Three sisters Nellie Kinnear, Virginia Hartman, and Linda Maxon. One brother John Hilling.He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers Jackie Hilling and Wayne Hilling one sister Gladys, Turner, and one grandson Joseph Patrick McMillenVisitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 1p.m. until 9 p.m. at Nicholson Chapel ChurchService will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Nicholson Chapel Church, friends will also be received 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Francis Nicholson and Rev. Kenny Reed officiating.Interment will follow in Nicholson Chapel Cemetery, Morgantown.
