Della Olexa

Della T. Olexa, 90, formerly of Killarney Dr., Morgantown, passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at Mapleshire Nursing Home.Della was born in Pine Township, PA on March 23, 1922 the daughter of the late Emelio Favro and the late Pasqualina Umprimo Favro.Della grew up in Masontown, WV she worked during WWII in Pittsburgh, PA as a welder, she also ran Joe and Della's Place with her husband Joe in Sabraton for 40 years.She is survived by one son Joseph Olexa and his wife Jane of Morgantown three grandchildren Denise Rapp and her husband Charles of Huntersville, NC Eric Olexa and his wife Jill of Morgantown,and Michele Yeager and her husband Mattheew of Summersville, WV four sisters Mary Farkas, Rose Michael, Tilda Luzier and JoAnn Berrott four great-grandchildren Joseph Yeager, Renee Rapp, Charles Rapp, and Molly Abraham one great-great granddaughater Eliza Mazezka. Four sister-in-laws Patsy Favro, Wanda Olexa, Pauline Olexa, and Margaret Olexa one brother-in-law, James Olexa also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph ""Joe"" Olexa, one brother Jack Favro.Friends will be recived at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, WV from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, and from 10a.m. until time of service at 11am on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 with father John V. Dibacco officiating. Interment will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens, Westover.
