Deloris Robertson

Deloris Jean Robertson, 86, of Unity Manor Apartments, Morgantown, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Heartland of Preston County in Kingwood, WV.Deloris was born in Harpers Ferry, OH on May 16, 1925, a daughter of the late David Burnside and the late Edna Pearl (Brocious) Burnside.Survivors include two daughter and their spouses, Karen and Martin Thorn of Cheat Lake and Margaret and Kenneth McCarty of Morgantown one grandson, Andrew Paul McCarty one sister and spouse, Ilene and Fred Bellar of North Carolina one brother and spouse, David and Adele Burnside of Stockbridge, GA and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Danny Walls of Washington State.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Madeline Kennedy.Deloris was Catholic by faith and worked as an in-home caregiver for many years.Mrs. Robertsonâs family is honoring her wishes for cremation. A Memorial Mass and scattering of her ashes will take place privately and at a later time in 2012.The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Heartland of Preston County.
