Donald Dalton

August 5, 1942 — February 19, 2013

Donald Troy Dalton, 70, of the Kingwood Pike, Morgantown, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 19, 2013. He was born August 5, 1942 at his home on the Kingwood Pike, the son of the late Joseph E. and Irene (McMillen) Dalton. He was employed at Sterling Faucet from 1966 until it closed and he retired from the Monongalia County Schools as a custodian at Woodburn Elementary in 2004. He was happiest when taking his grandkids for rides on the gator and when visiting family and friends in his father's 1952 International pickup. He loved reading his bible and studying with Reverend Arnold Murray on The Shepherd's Chapel. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Mrs. Cindy S. (Uphold) Dalton, two daughters Mrs. Scott (Teresa) King and Mrs. Michael (Jenny) Ault, two granddaughters, Rebecca Ault and Kassey King and two grandsons Trenton King and Austin King, four sisters, Mrs. Douglas (Dana) Dalton, Mrs, Jackie Hart, Mrs. Delmar (Barbara) Nicholson and Mrs. Kenneth (Beverly) Dalton, brother-in-law, Reverend Francis (Jake) Nicholson and sister-in-law Thelma Dalton, two aunts Gladys Freeman and Ocie Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold (Hoy) Dalton, his sister Wilma (Dalton) Nicholson and brother-in-law, Henry (June) Hart. Friends will be received at Hasting Funeral Home 153 Spruce St. Morgantown on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Hastings Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Agnew and Elmer "Scoop" Nicholson officiating. In accordance to Donalds wishes cremation services will be provided with Interment at Mt Pleasant Cemetery on Saturday, Febuary 23, 2013.
