Donella Rae Eakin

Donella Rae Eakin, 68, formerly of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at Meadowcrest Nursing Home in Bethel Park, PA on Saturday August 26, 2023.

She was a 1973 graduate of Morgantown High School.

She is preceded in death by her father Neal C. Eakin, Mother Geraldine (Graham) Eakin and brother Gerald Dale Eakin.

She is survived by her sister Dorinda Eakin Kibler of Pittsburgh, Nephew Matt Eakin from Las Vegas, and Nephew Chris (Anne) Lewis and his family from Pittsburgh.

Donella's life was altered by a tragic car accident in 1973 that left her permanently disabled. Despite her challenges, Donella always had sparkle in her eye, was quick with a joke, and could always be found completing word searches and listening to Elvis.

Hastings Funeral Home is entrusted with cremation arrangements. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
