Doris Jean Reed Oleksa

Doris “Jean” Oleksa, 87, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Evergreen Assisted Living. She was born in Bretz, WV on April 15, 1928, the daughter of the late Raymond Reed and Murle (White) Reed. She was a devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who centered her life around her family. Jean is survived and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Pamela Livengood and husband Willis; a son, Timothy Oleksa and wife, Nancy; a son, David Oleksa and wife Kathy; a daughter, CherylAnn Oleksa Cummings and husband Bill, and a son, Jeffrey Oleksa; grandchildren, Brandi Snyder and husband Michael, Jamie Oleksa, Laura Knesel and husband, Brian, Eileen Garbarino and husband, Tony, Greg Oleksa, Brandon Oleksa, Jeffrey Hadfield, Alexa Hadfield, Kevin Cummings, Patrick Cummings and Danny Cummings; great-grandchildren, Dominic Joseph Garbarino, Michael Stephen Garbarino, Harper Jean Knesel and Tiffany Snyder. She is also survived by her brother Alfred C. Reed and wife Barbara; sister-in-law, Georgia Oleksa. Many nieces and nephews will also miss her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Oleksa, Jr. The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Evergreen for their compassionate and loving care. Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown on Friday, February 5 from 2-4 and 6-8p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 6 from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 12 (Noon) with Rev.
